MONROE, LA (KTVE) — Louisiana's nursing shortage may lessen thanks to a new agreement between ULM and Delta Community College.
The articulation memorandum also known as 2+2 agreement was created in 2008 between the two institutions.
Today, school officials expanded on the original agreement to include a nursing degree.
This new partnership allows students to complete their associate of science degrees in nursing at Delta Community College in two years.
ULM President Nick Bruno and LDCC Chancellor Luke Robins said through collaborations like this both institutions can better serve the region and state.
ULM will continue to explore 2+2 initiatives with other two-year colleges.
