Superintendent White hosts final forum in BR for Jump Start Initiative
Baton Rouge — State Superintendent of Education John White will host a public forum in Baton Rouge to discuss the proposed Jump Start program.
Jump Start is a new statewide program designed to bring school districts, colleges, and business together. The program’s purpose is to provide career courses, workplace experiences, and certifications to high school students.
This meeting will offer students, parents, educators, business leaders, and other community members the chance to comment on the Jump Start proposal before it’s officially considered by the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) and the State Legislature.
The forum will be held on Tuesday, January 21, at 5:00 p.m. at Baton Rouge Community College in the Louisiana Building’s Louisiana Board Room.
