BATON ROUGE, LA. (NBC33) — Southern University’s teacher education program gathered high marks and praise in the latest findings of a state Board of Regents report that assesses how new teachers are helping students progress in school.

In the two categories, English-Language Arts and Reading, that cited Southern’s new teachers, the scores were slightly lower than only Louisiana State University.
