Southern University submitted its budget to the Louisiana Board of Regents.

The details of the budget have not yet been released, but Chancellor Llorens has stated that staff positions will be cut in order to balance the budget.

He had requested financial emergency declaration, which would have allowed him to furlough all tenured professors. The Board of Regents denied that request Tuesday.
