Southern University to host HIV/AIDS awareness event today

BATON ROUGE, LA — As Baton Rouge finds itself number 1 in the nation for number of new diagnoses of HIV cases, Southern University will be observing National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day today, Wednesday, March 28, with an HIV/AIDS Prevention program
The event will get started at 10:00 a.m. and continue through 2:00 p.m. in the Smith-Brown Memorial Union.
There will be a number of community organizations and health providers participating with literature, counseling and HIV testing. The event is being co-sponsored with the AIDS Health Care Foundation and Dr. Joyce Turner Keller.
