Students at Capitol Elementary celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday a day early by reading his books; the classic stories and rhymes that many of us grew up with.

Read Across America focuses on motivating children and teens to pick up a book and read, year round. Today, Friday, March 1, Capitol Elementary joined in on the movement and added a little more fun.

For a few hours, guest readers read those favorite Dr. Suess books to students throughout the school. The school’s principal told us it was a seuss-sational celebration.

The Read Across America program is in its 16th year.
