Louisiana (NBC33) — Parents can start applying for vouchers to move their children out of underperforming schools.

The deadline to apply is june 29th.

Parents with children in a school graded "C", "D", or "F" will have the option of moving to a school that got a grade of "A" or "B”.

According to the Department of Education, there are about 950 schools that got the less than desirable grades; that impacts about 450,000 students.
