LUTCHER, LA — The River Parishes Community College is now conducting registration for its two newest additions; the culinary and cosmetology programs.

Courses for both programs will be held at the St. James Career and Technical Center in Lutcher five days a week, beginning on January 7, 2013.

Students in this program have the option of taking four classes in one of two sessions, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:10 or from 11:45 a.m. to 2:05 p.m.

The first semester of courses in each program lead to a technical competency area (TCA), with additional courses and TCAs added as the students’ progress through the program. The programs will eventually lead to a technical diploma.
