Education was on the agenda today for the Baton Rouge Rotary Club.

Dr. Geoffrey Nagle, head of the Tulane Institute of Early Childhood Mental Health, spoke at the club today.

He spoke about the importance of standardized early education for children. He said that kids who attend Head Start programs succeed later in life.

“Those kids look better - they were able to get better jobs, be higher functioning members of society and stayed out of the criminal justice system."

Nagle says no two Head Start programs are alike, and it's important your children are getting the best possible early education for them to be successful.
