Louisiana (NBC33) — The state's Recovery School District has a new superintendent.

Patrick Dobard was named as the new man in charge by the BESE board today.

He replaces John White, who became the State Superintendent of Education.

Dobard has been the Deputy Superintendent of the Recovery School District for the past nine months.
