The Recovery School District (RSD) announced today its plan for Hurricane Isaac make-up days for all RSD-Louisiana (RSD-LA) schools in Baton Rouge, Pointe Coupee and St. Helena. Due to Hurricane Isaac's path and impact, all RSD-LA schools in these areas closed for four days from Tuesday, August 28, to Friday, August 31.

Make-up dates for RSD-LA schools in East Baton Rouge Parish, including Dalton Elementary, Lanier Elementary, Glen Oaks Middle, Prescott Middle, Crestworth Learning Academy, Capitol High, and Istrouma High, are:

• November 19 and 20
• December 20 and 21

Make-up dates for Pointe Coupee Central High will be:

• November 19 and 20
• December 21 - this day was originally scheduled as a half day for Pointe Coupee Central High students, but students will now attend the entire school day.

St. Helena Central Middle will follow the St. Helena Parish School District make-up plan. Please refer to the St. Helena Parish District for more updates regarding the plan.

Make-up dates were determined after careful analysis regarding how best to ensure that students do not lose crucial instruction time as a result of school closures , while maintaining minimal disruption in the academic calendar and school day.
