LSU to hold interviews for Vice Chancellor for Research & Economic Development position

The search committee for the Vice Chancellor for Research & Economic Development position has invited five candidates to participate in two-day, on-campus interviews. As part of the interview process, each candidate will speak at an open forum on campus. All members of the LSU community are invited to attend those forums. Listed below are the names of the candidates and the schedules for each of their forums.

K.T. Valsaraj – LSU, Associate Vice Chancellor for Research & Economic Development
Open forum will be held March 14 from 3-4:30 p.m. in Coates Hall Room 152; interview process will be held March 14-15.

Jerry Miller -- White House Office of Science & Technology Policy, Assistant Director for Ocean Sciences
Open forum will be held on March 18 from 3-4:30 p.m. in Coates Hall Room 143; interview process will be held March 18-19.

Kevin Smith – LSU, Distinguished Professor of Chemistry
Open forum will be held March 20 from 3-4:30 p.m. in Coates Hall Room 143; interview process will be held March 20-21.

David Conover – National Science Foundation, Director for Division of Ocean Sciences
Open forum will be held March 27 from 3-4:30 p.m. in Coates Hall Room 143; interview process will be held March 27-28.

Chitra Rajan -- Iowa State University, Associate Vice President for Research
Open forum will be held April 8 from 3-4:30 p.m. in Coates Hall Room 143; interview process will be held April 8-9
