A sigh of relief went through the student population as police announced they had arrested the man believed to be responsible for Monday's bomb threat.

"I am really glad that they caught him, and they caught him so quickly! I mean I am impressed! I am really impressed with it," student Alexandra Schober, exclaimed.

"I mean that's just crazy, it's kind of creepy that anyone could do that," Jessica Dalton, another student, said.

As word got out though, students inevitably began to question who William Bouvay may be and why he'd threatened their campus.

"Definitely surprised. I think everybody thought it was somebody who had a midterm that they wanted to get out of," Mark Talley, a recent graduate of LSU, shared.

"I don't know. I’d like to know what he was thinking. That’s crazy," student Hudson Bain added.

"It seemed bizarre that somebody who's 40-something years old is going to make a threat and make everyone on LSU's campus evacuate,” Maggie Engemann, a graduate student, explained.

But Monday marked a day that was unproductive for many, and it's got some students a little upset at missing a whole day of classes."

"That’s a day of classes away from students that need schooling, and that's something that's really important, especially after a hurricane, and you add another interruption in to that. That’s just ridiculous,” Nathaniel Lacombe, a LSU student, added.

“That put everybody back a few more days, and so it's just really frustrating that someone would think to do something like that," Engemann agreed.

There were certainly a handful of students that were happy to have the day off unexpectedly on Monday, but they admit they're paying for it now.
