LSU students meet hundreds of employers at career expo
BATON ROUGE (NBC33) — Hundreds of employers from across the country got a chance to "hire a tiger" today at LSU's Olinde Career Center's expo.
Thousands of students and alumni came out on Tuesday to meet and network with potential employers, including BASF, Haliburton, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Science, technology, and engineering students said they couldn’t have been more grateful for the opportunity to show what they have to offer.
"I think it's a great opportunity to network, and possibly get a job out of it," said Seth Brown, one of the many students in attendance.
Student Travis Vermaelen said, "I just love to be involved and talk to all these people. It's great experience. Everyone should just come out as early as they can."
Tuesday was just the first day of the expo. On Wednesday, business and liberal arts students will also get a chance to network and pass out their resumes.
