Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — LSU has had to cut $8.1 million from its operating budget.

60 jobs have been impacted; 40 of those jobs are vacant, and the other 20 will have to be funded some other way.

LSU has had to cut nearly $100 million dollars from its budget over the last three years.

Academics will lose about $2.5 million, while non-academic programs will lose about $3.2 million.
