STORMTRACKER 33 — The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is inviting all students ages 5-18 to enter their original work in the art category and/or the language arts category.
The theme for the 2012 contest is “Louisiana Waters: Protect, Conserve, Enjoy!”
The hope is that this theme will be used to introduce water sustainability initiatives in classrooms, educating students on how they can incorporate the protection, conservation, and enjoyment of water in their daily lives.
Contest deadline is April 26, 2012.
Monetary awards will be given to the winners and winning entries will be published in the 2013 Environmental Awareness calendar that will be distributed statewide.
All winners will be honored at a reception to be held at the Governor’s Mansion in June.
