BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Some very young students at Episcopal in Baton Rouge got the chance to be chemists for a day.
Employee volunteers from BASF in Geismar visited elementary school students.
It's part of an effort to get children interested in future STEM jobs - science, technology, engineering and math.
These students got to do some hands on chemistry experiments and got slimed along the way.
"We're here today to do some experiments with some of our younger groups to really show them the excitement and fun they can have with science," stated Elizabeth Canfield, BASF Communications Specialist.
BASF is making the rounds of local schools with its Kids Lab program. Episcopal was its third stop.
