Local Journalists raise money to benefit LSU, SU students
BATON ROUGE (NBC33) — The Baton Rouge Area Association of Black Journalists is hosting its second annual luncheon on April 17, to raise money for local journalism students.
Award-winning Journalist and Baton Rouge Native Isiah Carey will be the guest speaker.
Other local, pioneering journalists will be honored at the luncheon, including Yvonne Campbell, Mayor Kip Holden, Robert Rene, and Sylvia Weatherspoon.
Proceeds will help fund scholarships for Southern University and LSU students.
