Incoming LSU President and Chancellor F. King Alexander was honored, along with three other Long Beach community leaders, with the California Conference for Equality and Justice, or CCEJ, Humanitarian Award on Wednesday, May 15.

Alexander; Ivy Goolsby, marketing director and manager of the Long Beach Division of International Realty & Investments Inc.; J. Christopher Lytle, executive director of the Port of Long Beach; and Judy Ross, executive director of the Long Beach Nonprofit Partnership were honored at CCEJ’s 50th Annual Humanitarian Awards dinner, held at The Renaissance Long Beach. CCEJ also recognized philanthropists Barbara and Ray Alpert with the “Building Bridges” Award.

“CCEJ has been committed to the fight for equity and justice for decades,” Alexander said. “I am humbled to be recognized by such a distinguished organization when so many others are deserving.”
