Gun brought on Westdale Middle campus

A deputy with the School Drug Task Force responded this morning to a call concerning a gun brought to Westdale Middle school, 5650 Claycut, at approximately 8:40 a.m. this morning.

According to reports, a 16-year-old 8th grader brought the loaded .25 caliber handgun to school in his booksack. The weapon was reportedly to administration anonymously.

Deputies will charge the 16-year-old with Carrying of a Firearm by a Student On School Property and he will be booked into Juvenile Detention.
