A watchdog group wants the Louisiana’s Superintendent of Education to have a legislative hearing on the state's new voucher program.

PAR, the Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana, sent a letter to Superintendent John White.

The letter is asking the superintendent to include the House and Senate Education Committees when putting the policies for the program into place.

White will make his plans public next week. The voucher program is set to begin August 1.
