It's graduation day for many college students across the Baton Rouge area.

Amid the cheers of joy for the grads are a few fears about job hunting in the current economy.

Grads say they're not kidding themselves – they know they're stepping in to a less than friendly job climate - but they're pretty confident with their newly obtained degrees they'll have a big advantage.

"Job hunting right now is kind of hard with the economy the way it is”, stated recent grad Timothy Cavalier. “However, I have a few options that I am looking in to right now, and I am also looking into the military as well."

Today, Southern University sent 508 graduates in to the world; the school congratulated 1,672 graduates at their fall commencement.
