Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Governor Bobby Jindal talked about what's next for state education.
The Governor says education is his top priority going into the new year.
He says he's meeting everyday with State Legislators and BESE board members to make sure our kids get the education they need.
The Governor says he's been visiting schools across the state as well, and he says the number of students doing well in Louisiana keeps going up.
"Our school systems have made tremendous improvements, retention and graduation rates are improving, our students test scores are improving, we're certainly headed in the right direction," said Governor Jindal.
