Four Louisiana students selected as White House interns for Spring 2012

On March 13, the White House released its list of Spring 2012 interns and making the list are four Louisiana students:

- Evan Casper-Futterman, Hometown: New York, NY; School of Urban Planning and Regional Studies at the University of New Orleans, LA

- Nicholas Giles, Hometown: Houston, TX; Southern University Law Center, LA

- Kevin Hagan, Hometown: New Orleans, LA; Dillard University, LA

- Paige Nichols, Hometown: Baltimore, MD; Louisiana State University, LA

Louisiana Democratic Party Chairman Buddy Leach released a statement congratulating the students. "Today is a proud day for higher education in Louisiana as we learn that four of our best and brightest students have been selected for the prestigious White House internship program," said LDP Chairman Buddy Leach. "I want to applaud these four students for their hard work and dedication that led them to be selected to serve our President in the White House this Spring. I also want to congratulate their universities, Southern University, Louisiana State University, University of New Orleans and Dillard University, on a job well done preparing our future leaders."
