LSU's first Rainbeaux Run 5K set for Feb. 15

BATON ROUGE (NBC33) — The Louisiana State University Office of Multicultural Affairs’ LGBTQ Project and Safe Space Campaign will be hosting its first annual Rainbeaux Run 5K on Saturday, Feb. 15.
Members of the LSU campus and Baton Rouge community are encouraged to participate in this event for a great cause. All proceeds for the Rainbeaux Run will go to the Safe Space Campaign to provide training for the campus and community.
Registration for the run will begin at 8:00 a.m. The actual run will start at 9:00 a.m. at the LSU “Old Front Nine” on Nicholson Drive/Nicholson Drive Extension.
The entry fee is $20, and pre-registration will take place at the Office of Multicultural Affairs, located at 335 LSU Student Union, through Feb. 14.
Safe Space training is offered to LSU faculty, students and staff free of charge. In the training, participants learn basic LGBTQ terminology and how to make language more inclusive and ways to actively make LSU a safer space for all students, faculty and staff regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.
