Several East Baton Rouge Parish School System teachers were recognized for their service in schools at the district’s Teacher Perfect Attendance Luncheon, which was held December 11 at The Country Club of Louisiana. There were 92 teachers in all with perfect attendance during the 2011-2012 school year.

Of those, six teachers in all had been recognized each year for all seven years that the recognition luncheon has been held. They are (pictured, left to right): Northeast High School PE teacher Darrin Wicker, Lynn Williamson of McKinley Middle Academic Magnet School, CKAP teacher Cora Jackson of Broadmoor Middle School, The Dufrocq School fourth-grade teacher Joe Rose Porche, Glen Oaks High School’s Harvey Adger and Maria Cherbonnier of Woodlawn High School.

Event sponsors were Pearson Publishing, the Baton Rouge Coca-Cola Bottling Company and the Hurricane Educator Assistance Program.
