BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — East Baton Rouge Superintendent Bernard Taylor was the guest speaker at the Rotary Club today.
He discussed the need for public-private partnerships to improve education for students in the parish. He also discussed using technology to improve students’ academic performance. He said school districts need to do anything they can to make the school experience as enjoyable as possible.
"What makes students come to school every day is the opportunity to be engaged in something meaningful, something purposeful, something that helps them achieve and something that at the end of the day you know it was so great here today and I had such a good time, I'm going to come back tomorrow," he said.
Taylor also discussed other issues such as vouchers and course choice.
