EBR School Superintendent says EBR schools are working their way up.
Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — EBR Superintendent of Schools John Dilworth says schools may have a low grade, but they're steadily improving.
Three years ago schools across the state were rated on a scale of one to five stars.
Now, schools are given a grade rating, and recently, EBR schools rated a "D".
Dilworth says this comes from under attendance and slipping state test scores. But this "D" has given the school board more motivation to get that grade to a "C".
"We're improving, our people are working extremely hard, we have a long ways to go still, but we are improving, in three years we will have gone from an f district to a c district, and i think that's something that our teachers and parents need to recognize, and it's something i'm extremely proud of" - John Dilworth, EBR Superintendent of Schools said.
