The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board is giving Superintendent John Dilworth a lower rating than last year.

The board gave him an average score of 3.34 in a 0-4 scale, which is 0.25 points less than the rating he got last year.

The rating is based on how the school board thinks Dilworth did in his second year on the job.

School board member, Jerry Arbour, says he doesn't think the score is a good evaluation of the superintendent's work.

"The people that gave John a good evaluation were the ones that hired him and worked with him since the day he came to Baton Rouge,” stated Arbour. “Some of the people that haven't worked with John have only known him for a very short period of time."

Superintendent Dilworth's contract ends on June 30 2012. He has said he will not be renewing it.
