Christian Life Academy appoints Stephen Dale as head boys basketball coach

Christian Life Academy has announced the hiring of Stephen Dale as its new head varsity basketball coach.

Dale comes to Christian Life Academy from University High School where he has served as associate head coach.

During this past season, the University High School Cubs finished with a record of 31-3 winning an undefeated 7-2A Championship and earning a trip to the LHSAA Top 28 tournament. They finished their season as state semi-finalists.

During his eight years of high school coaching, Dale also served at Archbishop Rummel High School in Metarie, LA. He has been very successful in developing junior high and middle school programs and has served as coach of the AAU Baton Rouge Mavericks. Dale has also had success as a golf coach and was named “Metro Golf Coach of the Year” in 2011 by the Baton Rouge Advocate.

A native of Kenner, LA, Dale received an undergraduate degree in History/Secondary Education, and a Master’s degree in Sports Administration from LSU. He is married to the former Mary Wilderotter.

In response to his appointment Dale stated, “I am humbled and honored to join the faculty at Christian Life Academy as a teacher and Head Boys Basketball Coach. I have tremendous respect for the basketball tradition at Christina Life and look forward to continue its proud legacy. This is a tremendous opportunity and I can’t wait to start working with the players and begin preparing for next season.”
