BRCC says they're coming up with ways to deal with the almost $3.5 million in cuts proposed by the legislature.

It's part of the tens of millions of cuts to higher education.

The school's chancellor says any more cuts to BRCC's budget would be a big step in the wrong direction.

"It’s going to be very challenging, but to overcome it we have to plan and work with what we have,” stated Andrea Lewis Miller, BRCC chancellor. “We believe we can overcome it, but it'll be a real challenge for us."

BRCC is graduating about 400 students on Friday. The chancellor fears that if the cuts become reality, they will have to eliminate some course offerings, which could affect the number of future graduates.
