BR Orchestra String Quartet stops by Runnels school for special concert

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Students in grades 4-8 got a special treat today, Thursday, March 8. The Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra String Quartet stopped by for a visit and performance at the Runnels School.
“The students were very attentive and appreciative,” Allison Wrenn, Runnels School, said about the event. “Two of their strings teachers, Dan and Jennifer Cassin, were on stage playing with the quartet. They’re both members of the B.R. Symphony; she is acting principal viola and he’s acting principal cello.”
The concert was held in the Runnels Theatre for the Performing Arts.
The Runnels School is a liberal private arts academy located in Baton Rouge on South Harrel’s Ferry Road. It is the oldest independent school in the Baton Rouge area. Click here for more information.
