Kids competed today at the annual Big Buddy Spelling Bee. That was a part of one of the finale events for its Summer Enrichment Program.

LaShondra Harris (2nd Grade) and Jaylen Kendrick (3rd Grade) both took home a grand prize trophy for their respective grade levels. Both students attend Highland Elementary during the regular school year. But this summer, the two are participating in Big Buddy’s Summer Enrichment Program.

Today’s event was held at the McKinley Alumni Center. Next week Big Buddy is holding a Science and Art Fair at the same location. That’s open to students of all ages, from Kindergarten through high school seniors.

Congratulations to all those who participated!
