BATON ROUGE, LA — The Talented Art and Art Club students at the Baton Rouge Center for Visual & Performing Arts (BRCVPA) School got an assignment recently that was right up their alley – creating artwork to display at the Baton Rouge River Center Exhibition Hall Passageway.
The “Windows of Louisiana” art display, compliments of fourth- and fifth-grade students, lined the passageway traversed by competitors during the United States Bowling Congress in mid-February.
Student artists, parents and teachers from BRCVPA toured the venue on the first day of the event. The Congress asked the school and its students to create the artwork depicting Baton Rouge and Louisiana and provided 4X8 sheets for the illustrations.
Principal Mark Richterman said the school submitted more than 25 pieces of art.
