BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA) -- Students of the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office CARTA (Capitol Area Regional Training Academy) will graduate tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the Healing Place Church.

Forty-three graduates, representing 12 different agencies from across the state, will graduate from the 426-hour, 12-week long extensive program. Graduates learned law enforcement history, firearms use, legal and report writing, officer survival techniques, physical training and many other topics.

NBC33 News would like to congratulate these individuals for their hard work and future service to the community.
