Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — East Baton Rouge Parish approved $33.3 million in budget cuts last night, and today capitol city residents say that's too much.
EBR school officials increased class sizes, ended year round schooling at two local elementary schools, and ended dozens of direct bus routes for students in gifted and magnet programs.
They did all they could to keep from laying off teachers.
School officials say these cuts won't be finalized until June, and more cuts could be possible.
