Donations are down at a local charity organization and officials say disasters in other parts of the world could be to blame. The Greater Baton Rouge Salvation Army has seen a decrease in revenue over the last several months. Donations are down by about 20 percent.
Folks are still giving, but they're just been focusing their attention on the earthquake victims in Haiti and Chile. Officials say it's important to help people all over the world and here at home too.
