The death toll from swine flu in Louisiana is up to seven and nearly 51,000 people have been diagnosed with the virus. It's causing many in the state to take action.
A number of doctors offices and pharmacies are already offering the regular seasonal flu shot. Doctors recommend that folks get the seasonal flu vaccine to keep hospitals from being overcrowded as flu season ramps up. At first, the federal government will only have a limited supply of the H1N1 vaccine. State officials have already come up with a plan on how to distribute it and who should get priority.
