NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Under heavy pressure - even from Republicans - to release more tax returns, Romney and his campaign are pointing the finger back at President Obama.
Republicans claim President Obama's focusing on Romney's tax returns and time at Bain Capital to shift focus from the country's economic problems.
The political fight of the year continues in Florida today. President Obama's making two campaign stops there.
He'll focus on Medicare - claiming Mitt Romney would make it more expensive for the state's 3.4 million seniors.
"I am so tired of President of the United States - with the awesome seal he gets to go around with - pointing, trying to create divisions," said Former Governor Jeb Bush.
The White House says the President won't back off pushing for more Romney tax returns.
Prominent republicans have called for them, too.
"It's not necessarily comfortable, but it's become a tradition and it's an important one, you make your tax returns available because you think the American people deserve that kind of transparency," said White House Press Secretary Jay Carney.
But in Ohio - Romney and his surrogates claimed the tax return issue - and attacks on Romney's work at bain capital - are deliberate distractions.
"All he can do is distort his policies. All he can do is make up allegations, try to distract our attention away from his failed performance." Louisiana's Governor Bobby Jindal.
"His priority is not creating jobs for the American people, his priority is trying to keep his own job and that's why he is going to lose it," said Romney.
Aides say Romney could announce a running mate in the next week.
