Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — For the second time in just a few months, Governor Bobby Jindal's name is being mentioned as a possible candidate for vice president.
Political experts say Jindal's bold reform, along with the ability to stay on message would make him a good fit for the country's number two spot.
However, others say a lack of experience on the national stage could hurt whoever becomes the GOP candidate.
Kirby Goidel with the LSU Public Policy Research Lab says the Governor is almost certainly looking ahead.
“I don't think there’s any question that he has national ambition,” stated Goidel. “Whether the VP in this election cycle is the right race for him, whether he's thinking 2016 and a possible presidential candidate, or whether his next move is a cabinet secretary, I don't think there’s any question that he has national ambitions.”
Jindal’s office released a very brief statement on the possibility of him becoming vice president:
“The Governor has the job he wants.”
