Some people were waiting in line for hours an Antigua Drive polling station in Baton Rouge.

While they told NBC33 that they don't mind waiting to vote, they're just a little frustrated they were waiting in the wrong place.

Voter Sondra Klaft stated, "This is the first time to vote here. We just stood in line here until somebody told us we were in the wrong line. Then, we went over to the long lines, and then, they came over and told us we should have been over here."

Klaft wasn't alone. Tuesday was Sally Hirschheim's first time at the polling station. She says she also waited in the wrong line before being told to switch. She says there's a very simple solution to the problem.

“A couple of more signs outside before the lines would help. Just so you knew which precinct to go to and which direction to go to, so you weren't crossing lines,” stated Hirschheim. “People were looking at you thinking you're trying to cut in line."

NBC33 spoke with the Clerk of Court's office. An official said that somebody should have been outside directing people where to go. But despite the hassle, voters at the polling station weren't discouraged. They're fine with waiting a little longer as long as their voice gets heard.

Klaft said, “It's voting day. You just have to have a little patience."
