Mitt Romney began his day by casting his vote near his home in Belmont, Massachusetts.

He then spent the rest of it asking voters to do the same.

Romney began in what turned out to be a busy Ohio, the swing state getting last minute attention from the GOP candidate, his running mate Paul Ryan and Vice President Joe Biden - all three candidates planes crowding the tarmac in Cleveland.

Next, the GOP contender traveled to Pennsylvania to thank supporters and make a last push in one of the key states he needs to win the White House.

"This is a great day. A great day with great opportunity ahead. But, I'm also looking forward to tomorrow," Romney said.

With years of campaigning over, Romney returns home to Massachusetts tonight, where like millions of voters all he can do now is watch and wait for the polls to close.
