With fresh new paint jobs on their campaign planes, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan left Florida Friday for their first post-convention stops.

While Ryan campaigns in Richmond, Virginia, Romney heads to New Orleans to survey the damage left by Hurricane Isaac.

Party politics move now from Tampa to Charlotte.

Final touches on the arena for the Democratic National Convention are being made, with the possibility more may go on outside the arena than inside.

Unlike Tampa, where police out numbered protesters four to one, major demonstrations are expected in Charlotte.

As many as 10,000 protesters are expected for a mile-long march through downtown.

The convention officially kicks off Tuesday.
