BATON ROUGE, LA (WVLA) - After months of campaigning and ads - voters all across the nation head to the polls.

Here in Louisiana - several high profile races are expected to be decided.   For the U.S Senate Seat - Democrat Charlie Melancon will take on the incumbent, Republican David Vitter.

The State's Number two spot - Lieutenant Governor is also up for grabs.   Republican candidate and Secretary of State Jay Dardenne is facing off against Democratic Candidate Caroline Fayard.

There are also 10 Constitutional amendements to be decided today.
