Dash cam video of Livingston Parish arrest

The Livingston Sheriff's Office released dash cam video of the arrest this weekend where a man died shortly after.

In the video, You can see 42-year-old Donel Stogner place a small bag filled with a white substance into his mouth.
That's when deputy Chris Sturdivant began wrestling with him, demanding that he spit out the bag.

The struggle lasted about five minutes, and then back-up arrived. Stogner died at a nearby hospital.

Deputies say Sturdivant acted appropriately.
