BATON ROUGE (WVLA) --The oil spill is creating such financial and emotional stress for those along the coast, some experts wonder just how long people will be affected.
Dealing with that stress even after it's all cleaned up is the theme of the workshop today at the LSU Ag Center.
More than 100 volunteers signed up to become peer listeners.
The idea is to offer the victims close friends or trusted leaders that are easy to talk to--all in the hopes of helping them to understand the situation many along the coast have found themselves in.
