LSU students to attend enviromental conference
Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — LSU students are on their way to the nation’s capital learn about "going green."
They are all taking part in what's being called Power Shift 2011.
The students will talk with people affected by pollution and will learn about how they can help build a clean energy economy in the future.
The students say they're going to make Louisiana a better place.
"Louisiana has been on the forefront of environmental disasters, starting with the bp oil spill, so we need to create that next generation of environmental leaders in this state," stated Matthew Myatt, an LSU student that is going on the trip.
The conference starts on April 15 and will go on through the weekend.
