Zachary, La (NBC33) — The Delta Narcotic Task Force was patrolling in the Zachary area on April 15 when a deputy got into a foot pursuit with a suspect. The suspect was apprehended in his own backyard.

Fitzgerald Wilson, 22, had approximately two oz of marijuana and $917.00 in cash. An additional search of the suspects’ house revealed another 4.5 oz of marijuana, $3900 in cash, and 2 digital scales.

Wilson was charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Flight from an Officer.

Wilson was booked into parish prison.
