A Vivian woman's home is burglarized three times by different people on the SAME day back in July!

This past weekend, one of the suspects was arrested after a three-hour search involving four-wheelers and the U.S. Marshal’s Office. James Michael Clark, 34, of Vivian, was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on a CPSO warrant for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling. He was also charged with resisting arrest.

The break-ins happened on July 2 in the 1800 block of North Pine Street. During the first burglary, the suspect took a jewelry box, a Wii gaming system, DVDs and legal papers. The second burglary happened when burglar #1 contacted Clark and asked him to get a shotgun from the house. Clark was driven to the house by suspect #3, Sharla Simmons, who later returned on her own to steal a pair of cowboy boots. Simmons later posted a picture of the boots on Facebook.

Simmons, 30, of Vivian, was arrested on August 10 for her part in the break-ins and was booked into CCC for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.

Clark was arrested this past Friday at a family member’s house on Totem Road in Vivian. Clark initially fled when the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force showed up to arrest him. The Task Force used four-wheelers to search a wooded area nearby. Clark later returned to the house and was taken into custody.

The case against suspect #1 is still under investigation.
