LAFAYETTE, LA — It only took the jury two hours to convict a woman for the beating death of her boyfriend. That happened back in 2010 and she used her prosthetic leg as the weapon to land the fatal blows.
According to KPLC, the NBC affiliate in Lake Charles, a Lafayette jury convicted Debra Sue Hewitt for the murder of Dwayne Ball, 47. His body was discovered five to six weeks after his death.
KPLC reports that Hewitt stomped on Ball with her prosthetic leg, then took it off and struck him repeatedly on the head with it until he died.
Hewitt was sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday, March 21.
